How to create a focused Bot with one clear job in Grok Bot
🎯 Create a new Bot with one job and a description that sets its permanent rule. Then give it a first task that needs no logins.
Why it matters: Focused Bots build more useful context than one catch-all helper. Rules that should always hold belong in the description, not in a chat message you'll forget about.

Two places matter: the Bot's description (rules that stay true) and the message (this one task). The docs' suggested first task needs no connector or login at all.
Solution
- Press Cmd/Ctrl+N (or New in the sidebar), choose Create new Bot, and name it after the job, for example "Doc Digest".
- Click the Bot's name in the chat header to open its conversation details, and edit the profile description: "Summarize documents I send. Cite the page or section for every item. Never send external messages without approval."
- Attach any document and send the first-task prompt below. Check that every item cites where it came from.
